A Message from the Wardens
O God, whose glory it is always to have mercy: Be gracious to all who have gone astray from your ways and bring them again with penitent hearts and steadfast faith to embrace and hold fast the unchangeable truth of your Word, Jesus Christ your Son; who with you and the Holy Spirit lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. (Collect for the Second Sunday in Lent)
Dear Members and Friends of the Congregation of Saint Saviour,
A Stewardship THANK YOU Brunch, this coming Sunday, March 4
9:30 AM – 11:00 AM in Cathedral House
Pledges continue to come in. We can report that so far this year our pledges have risen nearly 20% over the whole of 2017. In a spirit of appreciation to those who are making this happen we are inviting people who pledged and people who haven’t yet pledged to a lovely brunch “between the services.” We’ve heard rumors that mimosas will be available! So if you have made a formal pledge, come and enjoy. If you haven’t, come, share a bite and consider filling out a pledge card for 2018 over bagels, pastry and coffee.
Cathedral Community Cares (CCC) March Collection
You brought in toys, you brought in gloves, hats and clothes. For March you are asked to bring in coffee, tea and sugar for the CCC pantry. Please continue to leave your donations on the table next to the coffee set-up and volunteers will bring the items to CCC.
Steven Lee to be ordained deacon March 10
We are pleased to announce that Steven Lee, Seminarian and Special Assistant for Outreach and Formation, will be ordained to the transitional deaconate on Saturday, March 10 at 10:30 AM in the Cathedral. (Transitional deacons are on their way to the priesthood.) All are welcome to attend this wonderful Diocesan service.
Lenten Opportunities
During Lent we have some great opportunities to deepen our understanding of the faith of the church and consider our own spiritual state and growth.
