From Canon Lee
O magnum mysterium,
et admirabile sacramentum,
ut animalia viderent Dominum natum,
iacentem in praesepio!
Beata Virgo, cuius viscera
meruerunt portare
Dominum Iesum Christum.
Alleluia!
O great mystery,
and wonderful sacrament,
that animals should see the newborn Lord,
lying in a manger!
Blessed is the virgin whose womb
was worthy to bear
the Lord, Jesus Christ.
Alleluia!
The Rev. Canon Steven Lee
Canon Pastor and Vicar

From Marsha and Tim
At this time of year we are bombarded with requests for money from just about every not-for-profit we know. Many are charitable and others support the arts. We get our cash together to hand out tips to staff in our apartment buildings thanking God for our shelter and thanking the people who take out the garbage and hand us our mail for the wonderful support they provide. We hope that you will take this time to submit a pledge to the Congregation of Saint Saviour for 2020. There is a new energy in our congregation. We have many new members who are stepping up and getting involved in the church. Whatever your particular situation, giving to your church at whatever level you can, helps us all to move ahead with our desire to take on the work of Christ in the world and to support our Cathedral and Diocese. You can fill out a pledge form and submit it on-line at http://www.saintsaviour.org/giving
Christmas celebrations have already begun with the wonderful Cathedral Christmas Concert last week. At the Congregation Christmas party last Sunday we were provided with the yummiest food and fellowship. We thank Lisa Chin, the Baldwin family and everyone who helped or provided desserts. In addition to the Advent Bible readings, the lights throughout New York City from the Rockefeller Christmas tree to lights in the windows of apartments remind us that the true Light is coming. Whether you are staying in the City of traveling home,
We wish you a joyous Christmas!
