In the aftermath of this tragedy, in the days, weeks, and months to come, we should expect the trauma to show up in our lives in different ways. I would invite you to be gentle with yourselves and with those around you, and to remember that nothing, "neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord."
