A Service of Solidarity for the People of Haiti and the People of New York

Doors open at 5:00pm

Following political upheaval and an earthquake that has claimed thousands of lives, Haiti is currently in dire need of global attention and assistance. Join us in demonstrating that the people of New York City stand in solidarity with the people of Haiti, and let's pray together for their comfort and relief.

The ecumenical service at the Cathedral has been co-organized by The Haitian American Clergy Association and the Haitian Consulate of New York. The Reverend Dr. Nathanaël Saint-Pierre, Rector, St. Augustine of Hippo Episcopal Church, is an organizer of the event, and the Right Reverend Clifton Daniel III, Dean of the Cathedral, is the host.

Speakers and participants include the Right Reverend Guy A. Sansaricq, retired American prelate of the Roman Catholic Church who served as Auxiliary bishop of the Diocese of Brooklyn, New York from 2006 to 2010; Pastor Superintendent Leslie Thomas, Greater Emmanuel Church of God in Christ; the Honorable Bocchit Edmonde, Haitian Ambassador to the United States and other leaders in the Haitian community.

Masks are required inside the Cathedral.

Doors open at 5pm
